Homicide

In Massachusetts, the District Attorney is in charge of all aspects of homicide investigations and prosecutions.  In addition, District Attorney Marian Ryan oversees all death investigations, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the corresponding local police department.

Our team of experienced Assistant District Attorneys works with State Police investigators to bring those who commit these heinous crimes to justice.  Victim Witness Advocates provide support and assistance to the surviving friends and family members.

Unsolved Homicide Section

Assistant District Attorneys and State Police detectives review unsolved murders, focusing on previously untapped resources, unknown witnesses, new scientific testing and other additional investigative avenues that may not have been available at the time of the crime.  The goal is to solve these cases, get closure for victims, and bring those responsible to justice.

Periodically we will feature a different case here in an effort to bring renewed attention and information to the case.
