Police Investigating Death in Lincoln

WOBURN – Authorities are investigating a death in Lincoln, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lincoln Police Chief Kevin Mooney announced today.

A male was discovered at approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Mill Street in Lincoln.  The deceased male has been identified as Stephen Rakes, 59, of Quincy.

An autopsy to determine cause and manner of death was conducted today by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and no signs of trauma were found.  The autopsy results are pending toxicology, which generally takes several weeks to complete.

The incident remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Lincoln Police.
