District Attorney Ryan Joins Natick Police for Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony

MIT Police Chief John DiFava speaks at the Peace Officers' Memorial Ceremony in Natick

District Attorney Marian Ryan joined other Middlesex law enforcement officials to honor our fallen heroes at the 13th annual Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony hosted by the Natick Police Department.

MIT Police Chief John DiFava served as the keynote speaker.  MIT Police Officer Sean Collier was shot and killed in the line of duty April 18, 2013.

“Chief Hicks and the Natick Police Department have created this important tradition of honoring our deceased officers during National Police Week,” said District Attorney Ryan.  “It  is a privilege every day to work alongside the dedicated law enforcement officials throughout Middlesex County.  It is fitting each year to take the opportunity to pause and reflect on the work of our police officers and to remember those officers whom we have lost.”

The ceremony included the reading of the names of deceased officers from the Natick Police Department.  Natick Police Detective Chad Howard placed a memorial wreath at the officer memorial wall.
