District Attorney Joins Everett Students

Reading celebrates the birthday of Dr. Seuss!

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan joined students at the Webster Public School in Everett on Wednesday, March 4, to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss.

All week long the school hosted guest readers in classrooms as part of the National Education Association’s Read Across America program, an annual event taking place the week of Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

District Attorney Ryan read “Daisy-Head Mayzie” to students taught by Ms. Lisa LeGault and Ms. Meghan Qualters. The classroom was decorated with Dr. Seuss themed artwork and on the board behind the District Attorney was a Dr. Seuss quote, “Why fit in when you were born to stand out.” The Webster Public School, 30 Dartmouth Street, Everett, serves more than 580 students from preschool to fourth grade.
