Middlesex County has hosted the first in a series of public forums which will be held state-wide.

This photograph was taken in Lowell at the first forum on Monday, March 2.  Seen from left to right are: Greg Croteau, Ex. Director, UTEC, District Attorney Marian Ryan. City Manager Murphy, Dorcas Grigg- Saito (Lowell CHC CEO), UTEC Teens, Senator Donnelly, Senator Eldridge, Senator Ross, Senator Barrett, Senator Rodrigues, Senator Donoghue, Senator Keenan, Senator Creem, Senator Litalien, Senator DeMacedo, and Middlesex County Sheriff Koutoujian.

District Attorney Marian Ryan attended the first in a series of statewide forums that the Massachusetts Senate will be holding in every corner of the Commonwealth. These forums are part of an effort to make government more accessible and responsive.  State Senators from around the Commonwealth be listening to what the public has to say in order to take input from residents back to Beacon Hill. As Senator Rosenberg said a few weeks ago in his address to the Senate, “The best ideas are often found not within these halls but in our neighborhoods and our coffee shops, in our board rooms and union halls, in our office break rooms and at our family tables.”  So in the next several weeks, legislators will be holding public forums state-wide and then following up on suggestions made by the people of the Commonwealth.
