Ending Opiate Abuse Conference

9-2pm, Nashoba Valley Technical High School.  Keynote speakers will include former NBA player Chris Herren.

  •  Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan is responsible for the prosecution of almost 40,000 cases a year in the diverse 54 cities and towns of Middlesex County.  She will speak about the office's overdose prevention initiatives and provide an overview of the opiate issue.
  • Chris Herrena local basketball legend-turned-professional who will share his story about battling back from addictions, is the keynote speaker.  He will share his compelling story of battling back from alcohol and drug addiction to becoming one of the most sought after speakers on substance abuse education and prevention. 
  • Dr. Kevin Hill, psychiatrist, researcher, and addiction specialist will share strategies and best practices to help schools and communities identify and respond to drug abuse and addiction.
