DA Ryan Headlines Everett Chamber of Commerce Breakfast

District Attorney Ryan speaks at the Everett Chamber of Commerce

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan spoke to the Everett Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the DA’s Office’s public-private partnerships and innovative prevention programs.

District Attorney Ryan highlighted Safe Babies Safe Kids, an initiative she created to keep children safe, healthy and well from birth to high school.  Among the program’s efforts includes a summer safety campaign to educate parents, caregivers and grandparents on water, car and window safety for children.

District Attorney Ryan also discussed the successful partnerships that the DA’s Office has formed in order to expand community programs, increase resources and keep communities safe.  The Middlesex DA’s Office’s Senior Protection Program partners with police, elder services and community-based banks to educate seniors on how to stay safe, avoid scams or theft, and report abuse.  District Attorney Ryan also created the Cut It Out program, a partnership with salons and salon training programs to educate stylists on signs of domestic violence.

In speaking with business leaders in Everett, District Attorney Ryan stressed that collaboration among law enforcement, businesses and non-profits will make our communities safer and stronger.
